Welcome to Day 2
How did you find day 1 – spending time focusing on the amazing power of your body is probably not something you’ve considered doing before. Yes I know it can be a bit weird, but I bet you felt better about your body by the end of day.
Whilst Day 1 was all about you, Day 2 is all about your environment. Today’s task is:
Day 2 – Get outside and notice 5 things that are beautiful
Now that’s all you have to do, it can be absolutely anything that catches your eye, the trick with today is to actively look. So many of us walk around with our heads bowed, whether we are in the middle of a commute or even just going to grab lunch. Today I want you to lift your head and truly look at the world around you. Right now you’re probably protesting that you live in some suburban hell hole that has nothing beautiful in it… trust me I’ve been there myself. But truly, when you raise your head and look you will start to see things that you may never have event noticed even on your daily route to work.
Some examples to keep an open mind:
- The way the sun bounces of the buildings in the morning
- How frost dusts the leaves on the trees
- The smile of a loved one
- The cheeky wag of a dog’s happy tail
- The blueness of the sky
- The glint in your partner’s eye
Start to see your world with these new eyes and see how it makes you feel. The chances are once you get going, you’ll actually find you notice way more than 5 things that are beautiful. But what a great way to appreciate your day!
